About Us

Our organisation aims to support Endurance riding, catering to local riders who participate in events.

White horse riding on a trail in North Queensland

All ages of riders and breeds of horses are encouraged to “give it a go”, we are family, rides can range from 5km to 120kms, however riders and horses must qualify before being able to compete at the larger distances. It is about our horse’s welfare.

Support for Our Club

Our club continues to grow, with support from our Major Sponsors:

Lysaght, if you need a shed, shelter or to keep the tractor dry. Give them a call, tell them B2BERA sent you.

And Suncity Yamaha, for all your property work beasts or just a bit of fun, again, let them know B2BERA sent you.

By supporting our local businesses, small and large we get the word out and gain members, we appreciate every persons contribution.

Support comes in many forms even from the other North QLD Endurance clubs, FNQERA,WRERA,Valley Riders and the governing body QERA.

Land Access

Exciting our land access has grown to over 10,000 acres, thanks to the local landholders. With their support we can extend our tracks and create more amazing trails with challenges.

2026 Season

We now have four rides over the 2026 season, last year we had amazing support from local horse enthusiasts and our endurance community.

It truly goes to show if we build it, they will come.

History of Endurance in Australia

Group of people and horses

Endurance in Australia was born in 1966 with the first Tom Quilty Challenge.

R M Williams wrote to his friend Tom Quilty a great cattleman, with the challenge, from there the 100 mile (160kms) over 24 hours was born and still is the pinnacle of riders all over Australia and the world.

The Original Trophy is now displayed in the Stockman’s Hall of Fame, Longreach.
